Combos Of The Week: Week 32 Virtual Padwork Online Boxing Series

Welcome to the thirty-second instalment of Combos Of The Week. This series is a complete recap of the Virtual Padwork library I built in 2023.

If you are looking for a structured way to learn about online boxing, this series will serve as a reference guide. Instead of hunting through a social media feed, you can find the technical sequences right here, grouped by week, to study in your own time.

Combo 218: 3 Block 3 4 Block 4

Stance: Orthodox

This drill focuses on the "Block and Fire" mechanic for both the lead and rear hooks. It builds the specific blocks required to absorb a hook and immediately return one with the same hand.

Combo Sequence:

  • Left Hook

  • Left Block

  • Left Hook

  • Right Hook

  • Right Block

  • Right Hook

Combo 219: 332 Roll 2332

Stance: Southpaw

A high-volume "lead-heavy" drill. For the southpaw, doubling the right hook forces the opponent’s guard to one side, opening the lane for the cross. After rolling to reset, you repeat the sequence with even more intensity.

Combo Sequence:

  • Right Hook

  • Right Hook

  • Cross

  • Roll Left

  • Cross

  • Right Hook

  • Right Hook

  • Cross

Combo 220: The Wladimir

Stance: Orthodox

Inspired by Wladimir Klitschko’s "Steelhammer" methodology. This sequence uses a deceptive feint to trigger a reaction, followed by a clinical 1-2. It finishes with a stiff-arm "Head Control" to keep the opponent at bay and prevent a counter-attack.

Combo Sequence:

  • Feint (Jab)

  • Jab

  • Cross

  • Head Control (Jab)

Combo 221: Jab Block Cross Roll Jab Jab

Stance: Southpaw

A fundamental "safety-first" combination. After firing the jab, you catch the return shot on the rear block and counter with a cross. The roll allows you to reposition and finish with a double jab to regain your optimal fighting distance.

Combo Sequence:

  • Jab

  • Left Block

  • Cross

  • Roll Left

  • Jab

  • Jab

Combo 222: The Beterbiev

Stance: Orthodox

Inspired by Artur Beterbiev. This sequence transitions from straight shots into a series of heavy, short-range body uppercuts designed to break the opponent's posture before finishing with a powerful lead hook upstairs.

Combo Sequence:

  • Jab

  • Jab

  • Cross

  • Right Uppercut (Body)

  • Left Uppercut (Body)

  • Right Uppercut (Body)

  • Left Hook

Combo 223: 123 Slip 3 Loop

Stance: Southpaw

A classic southpaw rhythm loop. This drill emphasizes the "Slip-Hook" mechanic. By looping the sequence, you train your right side to be a constant threat, alternating between providing the setup and the power-counter.

Combo Sequence:

  • Jab

  • Cross

  • Right Hook

  • Slip Right

  • Right Hook

  • (Repeat Loop 3x)

Combo 224: Jab Body Hook Roll Roll

Stance: Orthodox

A level-changing entry that focuses on the rear hook. By following a head jab and low jab with a right hook, you attack three different planes. The double roll at the end ensures you remain elusive as you exit the pocket.

Combo Sequence:

  • Jab

  • Low Jab

  • Right Hook

  • Roll Right

  • Roll Left

Closing Thoughts

This project began as a 365-day commitment to creating a free, dependable resource for boxing enthusiasts worldwide. By stripping away spoken instruction and focusing on the raw mechanics of the combinations, these sequences are designed to be a universal language. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced boxer, these archives stand as a testament to the discipline of the craft—a library of inspiration that remains accessible to anyone with a passion for boxing.
