    What is Virtual Padwork?

    Virtual Padwork is a type of solo training where a coach on a screen provides verbal or visual cues for punch combinations, effectively acting as the viewer's virtual pad holder to improve timing, rhythm, and muscle memory.

    Do I need boxing experience to start?

    No. You can start with no prior knowledge. The content begins with foundational techniques like stance and basic punches, allowing you to progress to more complex combinations as you feel ready.

    Do I need to be fit to do virtual padwork?

    Physical fitness is not a requirement. What matters most is your willingness to learn and practice. As you use the videos, you will naturally build your fitness level.

    What equipment do I need?

    You don't need any special equipment to get started, just a device and some space. You will also need an internet connection to stream the videos.

    Will Virtual Padwork improve my sparring?

    Virtual Padwork is an excellent tool for honing your technique and building muscle memory. While it is a valuable part of boxing activities, it doesn't replicate the real-time, unpredictable nature of sparring. For that, you should attend a local boxing club with a qualified trainer. Virtual Padwork is best used to refine your skills and build a strong foundation.

    What is the story behind the Virtual Padwork series?

    In December 2023, I launched #ComboOfTheDay, an online series of virtual padwork videos. I designed these videos for accessibility, presenting real-time demonstrations and slow breakdowns that used visual graphics, sound effects, and on-screen text, completely eliminating spoken instructions.

    When one video went viral in January 2024, messages of gratitude poured in. This deepened my commitment to 365 days of boxing combinations. Upon completion, the series became an expansive, invaluable and completely free resource for aspiring boxers everywhere.


  • What content is included?

    Virtual Padwork gives you access to a 90-Day Program organized into three monthly phases designed to help you continuously improve.

    You'll also get access to over 1,000 videos that cover 24 basic techniques and 576 two-technique combinations for both left and right stances.

    What is the structure of the 90-Day Program?

    The 90-day program is structured across three distinct monthly phases.

    The program is broken down by the number of punches in the combinations:

    • Month 1: three-punch combinations.

    • Month 2: two-punch combinations.

    • Month 3: single punches.

    Within each month, the program has a weekly focus on a specific skill:

    • Week 1: Punch Week

    • Week 2: Block Week

    • Week 3: Head Movement Week

    • Week 4: Footwork Week

    For instance, during "Block Week," all combinations begin with a block; during "Head Movement Week," they start with a head movement; and during "Footwork Week," they begin with a footwork technique.

    Each day, you learn a new "Combo of the Day". At the end of each week (Day 7), you test your skills with a "Round of the Week" that incorporates the combinations you've learned. The combinations get shorter each month to increase the pace of the rounds over time.

    The entire program is designed to be cyclical, allowing you to revisit it to continuously improve your skills.


  • What experience and qualifications do you have as a boxing fitness coach?

    I come equipped with the following experience and qualifications:

    • I have taught recreational boxing since 2012 with over 10,000 hours of coaching practice.

    • I am a certified England BOX Instructor, and previously qualified as an Amateur Coach under England Boxing.

    • I am a certified Elite Instructor recognized by Hatton Academy.

    • I am a registered Advanced Boxercise® Instructor.

    • I am a certified tutor and padwork instructor by Boxing Awards.

    • I am a certified Level 3 Personal Trainer and Gym Instructor.

    • I am a member of The Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA).

    • I am a member of the European Register of Exercise Professionals (EREPS).

    • I am a member of the National Register of Personal Trainers (NRPT).

    • I am a member of UK Coaching.

    • I have taught individuals of various age groups, including adults, teenagers and children.

    • I have worked with coaches from various backgrounds, including boxing, mixed martial arts, strength training and yoga.

    • I have written a yoga teacher training programme for boxers endorsed by Skills Active UK, and have taught and assessed yoga teachers.

    • I have coached competing boxers for charity events, such as white-collar boxing.
