What Happens in a Personal Training Session?

1 - Warm-Up

Boxing Skipping WarmUp | Mr Deniz Ates

We kick off with a lively warm-up. First, it's skipping - a brilliant way to get your heart rate up and sharpen coordination. Then, we move onto dynamic stretches: think leg swings and lunges to get your muscles and joints ready. This combo of cardio and stretching sets you up perfectly for the workout ahead, both physically and mentally.

2 - Padwork

Boxing Padwork | Mr Deniz Ates

The padwork starts with the basics - simple punches and combinations. Gradually, as you grow more confident, we up the intensity and complexity. You'll learn advanced techniques and faster combinations, improving your speed, power, and accuracy. It's not just about the punches; this is a full-body workout that elevates your fitness and focus.

3 - Circuit Training

A woman performing a lunge exercise with a weight on her back during a workout class in a gym.

You may progress with padwork to peak intensity or you may choose to switch to circuit training. It's entirely up to you. If you're up for it, you'll work between various exercises using sandbags, slam balls, hand weights, and resistance bands. In shared sessions, you and your friend will alternate between padwork and circuit training, ensuring you both get a comprehensive fitness experience.

4 - Cool Down

A man with a shaved head is kneeling on the floor and adjusting a black exercise mat. He is wearing a gray T-shirt with a boxing glove icon on the back. There are two women standing nearby, one in sneakers and sneakers, observing. The setting appears to be an indoor fitness or yoga class.

The cool down is about bringing your heart rate down gently and stretching out your muscles. We'll go through a series of static stretches and relaxation techniques, focusing on muscle recovery and flexibility. This calming end to our session helps prevent soreness and prepares you mentally and physically for what's next in your day.

“I really enjoy the sessions with Deniz, when I met him he was very easy to work with, very friendly but pushes you hard.”
