Combos Of The Week: Week 34 Virtual Padwork Online Boxing Series

Welcome to the thirty-fourth instalment of Combos Of The Week. This series is a complete recap of the Virtual Padwork library I built in 2023.

If you are looking for a structured way to learn about online boxing, this series will serve as a reference guide. Instead of hunting through a social media feed, you can find the technical sequences right here, grouped by week, to study in your own time.

Combo 232: 56 Slip Roll Roll 65 Slip Roll Roll

Stance: Orthodox

A conditioning drill for inside fighting. This sequence focuses on alternating uppercuts followed by a dense defensive cycle. It trains the ability to stay relaxed and move the head immediately after firing high-impact shots in the pocket.

  • Roll Left

  • Roll Right

  • Right Uppercut

Combo 233: 3 Slip Roll 632 Slip 2

Combo 234: The Schmeling

  • Right Uppercut

  • Jab

  • Cross

Combo 235: 112 Slip 2 Slip Slip 5252

Combo 236: 332 Slip 2 Loop

The "Hook Specialist" loop. Doubling the lead hook forces the opponent to over-commit their guard to one side, opening the door for the cross. Looping this builds the specific rotational endurance required for power hooking.

Combo Sequence:

  • Left Hook

  • Left Hook

  • Cross

  • Slip Right

  • Cross

  • (Repeat Loop 3x)

Combo 237: The Crawford

Stance: Southpaw

Inspired by Terence "Bud" Crawford’s elite versatility. This sequence uses a crouch to explode into power shots, followed by "skipping" footwork to manipulate range before finishing with an aggressive three-punch counter.

  • Cross

  • Skip Forward

  • Skip Backward

  • Right Uppercut

Inspired by the "Old Master," Joe Gans. This sequence is about pure efficiency. It uses lead-hand control to neutralize the opponent's lead hand, a slip to avoid the return, and a precision-timed rear uppercut.

Combo Sequence:

  • Head Control (Jab)

  • Slip Right

  • Right Uppercut

Closing Thoughts

This project began as a 365-day commitment to creating a free, dependable resource for boxing enthusiasts worldwide. By stripping away spoken instruction and focusing on the raw mechanics of the combinations, these sequences are designed to be a universal language.
