Combos Of The Week: Week 35 Virtual Padwork Online Boxing Series
Welcome to the thirty-fifth instalment of Combos Of The Week. This series is a complete recap of the Virtual Padwork library I built in 2023.
If you are looking for a structured way to learn about online boxing, this series will serve as a reference guide. Instead of hunting through a social media feed, you can find the technical sequences right here, grouped by week, to study in your own time.
Combo 239: Slip Slip Duck 532 Slip 43 Roll
Stance: Southpaw
A comprehensive "layers of defence" drill. For the southpaw, this sequence moves through slips and a duck to load the lead-hand flurry (5-3-2). It finishes with a power-side hook (the 4) and a lead hook, using a roll to exit safely to the right.

Combo 240: 123112 Reverse
Stance: Orthodox
This drill focuses on cognitive switching and rhythm. You fire a specific straight-hook-straight sequence (1-2-3-1-1-2) and then immediately perform the "mirror" or reverse of that rhythm. This is designed to break predictability and improve hand speed.

A distance-closing drill. After a lead hook and defensive reset (Slip-Roll), you unleash a high-volume straight-punch entry (2-1-1-2) that forces the opponent backward, finishing with a heavy lead hook to capitalize on their retreat.

Combo 242: The Laila

Inspired by Laila Ali’s poise and clinical inside work. This drill uses repeated "Head Control" to manipulate the opponent's posture, setting up a straight cross followed by a brutal sequence of alternating body uppercuts.

Combo 243: 332 Slip 2 Loop

The southpaw version of the "Hook Specialist" loop. Doubling the lead hook (right) is a classic southpaw tactic to pull the opponent's guard away from the centerline, creating a permanent lane for the straight left cross.

Combo 244: Jab Block 52 Block 63 Roll
Stance: Orthodox
A clinical "counter from the guard" drill. This sequence emphasizes using the elbows to absorb body and head shots before immediately firing back with uppercuts. The final roll ensures you are not in the same spot once the combination ends.

Combo 245: 123 Slip Slip 6565
