Combos Of The Week: Week 36 Virtual Padwork Online Boxing Series

Welcome to the thirty-sixth instalment of Combos Of The Week. This series is a complete recap of the Virtual Padwork library I built in 2023.

If you are looking for a structured way to learn about online boxing, this series will serve as a reference guide. Instead of hunting through a social media feed, you can find the technical sequences right here, grouped by week, to study in your own time.

Combo 246: The Seniesa

Stance: Orthodox

Inspired by the high-velocity, multi-level attacks of Seniesa "Super Bad" Estrada. This sequence focuses on rapid-fire lead hooks and low rear hooks, utilizing a step back to reset the range before exploding into a finishing four-punch flurry.

Combo Sequence:

  • Low Right Hook

Combo 247: 121 Slip Slip 212 Slip Slip

Stance: Southpaw

A coordination drill focusing on the "straight-line" rhythm. For the southpaw, this involves firing a 1-2-1, resetting with double slips, and immediately firing the inverse 2-1-2. It is excellent for developing balance while transitioning between offense and defense.

Combo 248: 12 Slip Slip 5252

Stance: Orthodox

This drill focuses on splitting the opponent's guard after a defensive reset. After the 1-2 and slips, the lead uppercut (the 5) lifts the chin, creating a clear path for the following cross. The repetition of the 5-2 builds explosive short-range power.

Combo 249: 12 Roll 23 Slip 5

Stance: Southpaw

A tactical sequence that integrates power-side movement. After a 1-2, you roll to the left to avoid the counter-hook, return with a cross-hook, and use a slip to the right to load a sharp lead-hand uppercut counter.

Combo Sequence:

  • Jab

  • Cross

  • Roll Left

  • Cross

  • Right Hook

  • Slip Right

  • Right Uppercut

Combo 250: 1231 Step 23

Stance: Orthodox

A "hit and move" drill. You use a four-punch entry to overwhelm the guard, then immediately take a step back to pull the opponent into the "vacuum" you’ve created. As they step forward to close the gap, you meet them with a clean cross-hook.

Combo Sequence:

  • Jab

  • Cross

  • Left Hook

Combo 251: Slip 63 Slip 36

Stance: Southpaw

The "Southpaw Mirror" drill. This sequence focuses on alternating the power source. You slip left to load the rear side (6-3), then slip right to load the lead side (3-6), ensuring you can counter effectively regardless of which side you evade to.

Combo Sequence:

  • Slip Left

  • Left Uppercut

  • Right Hook

  • Slip Right

  • Right Hook

  • Left Uppercut

Combo 252: Jab Slip Slip Cross Slip Roll

Stance: Orthodox

A high-level defensive fluidity drill. This combination emphasizes staying "slippery" even when firing single power shots. By following the cross with another slip and a roll, you ensure you are never in the same place for more than a split second.

Combo Sequence:

  • Jab

  • Slip Left

  • Slip Right

  • Cross

  • Slip Right

  • Roll Left

Closing Thoughts

This project began as a 365-day commitment to creating a free, dependable resource for boxing enthusiasts worldwide. By stripping away spoken instruction and focusing on the raw mechanics of the combinations, these sequences are designed to be a universal language.
