Combos Of The Week: Week 45 Virtual Padwork Online Boxing Series

Welcome to the forty-fifth instalment of Combos Of The Week. This series is a complete recap of the Virtual Padwork library I built in 2023.

If you are looking for a structured way to learn about online boxing, this series will serve as a reference guide. Instead of hunting through a social media feed, you can find the technical sequences right here, grouped by week, to study in your own time.

Combo 309: 1233 Roll 32 Step

Stance: Southpaw

This drill emphasizes lead-hand volume and repositioning. For the southpaw, doubling the right hook forces the opponent to keep their guard tight, while the roll and step back ensure you are never a stationary target after your offensive burst.

Combo Sequence:

  • Jab

  • Cross

  • Right Hook

  • Right Hook

  • Roll Right

  • Right Hook

  • Cross

  • Step Back

Combo 310: The Haye

Stance: Orthodox

Inspired by David Haye’s explosive "Hayemaker" style. This sequence uses a feint and a slip to the power side to bait a reaction, unloading a heavy cross followed by a deceptive 1-2-5 (Jab-Cross-Lead Uppercut) flurry to finish.

Combo Sequence:

  • Feint (Jab)

  • Slip Right

  • Cross

  • Roll Right

  • Jab

  • Cross

  • Left Uppercut

Combo 311: Step 25 Step 2112

Stance: Southpaw

A distance-trap sequence designed to draw the opponent in. You use a step back to setup a Cross-Lead Uppercut counter, then take another tactical step back to create room for a final, high-volume straight-punch flurry.

Combo Sequence:

  • Step Back

  • Cross

  • Right Uppercut

  • Step Back

  • Cross

  • Jab

  • Jab

  • Cross

Combo 312: The Inoue

Stance: Orthodox

Inspired by Naoya "The Monster" Inoue’s clinical body punching. This combination focuses on shifting levels rapidly. After a 1-2, you dig the low left hook, skip back to reset the range, and explode back in with an uppercut and a final body shot.

Combo Sequence:

  • Jab

  • Cross

  • Low Left Hook

  • Skip Back

  • Right Uppercut

  • Low Left Hook

Combo 313: The Jab Cross Motif

Stance: Southpaw

The southpaw version of the ultimate fundamentals drill. This sequence uses the 1-2 (Jab-Cross) as a constant "motif," attaching a different finishing punch to every repetition. It builds the discipline of returning to straight punches as a home base.

Combo Sequence:

  • Jab-Cross

  • Jab-Jab-Cross-Cross

  • Jab-Cross-Right Hook

  • Jab-Cross-Left Hook

  • Jab-Cross-Right Uppercut

  • Jab-Cross-Left Uppercut

Combo 314: The Braekhus

Stance: Orthodox

Inspired by Cecilia Brækhus’ technical dominance. This sequence integrates feints, level changes, and head control. It focuses on breaking the opponent's rhythm with body shots before using the lead hand to post and frame for a powerful finishing uppercut.

Combo Sequence:

  • Feint Jab

  • Cross

  • Jab

  • Low Right Hook

  • Low Left Hook

  • Right Uppercut

  • Head Control (Jab)

  • Right Uppercut

Combo 315: 123 Block Step 2 Roll

Stance: Southpaw

A defensive-minded counter sequence. After a 1-2-3 entry, you catch the return on your lead block and immediately retreat. As the opponent follows, you meet them with a straight left cross and roll to the power side to exit.

Combo Sequence:

  • Jab

  • Cross

  • Right Hook

  • Right Block

  • Step Back

  • Cross

  • Roll Left

Closing Thoughts

This project began as a 365-day commitment to creating a free, dependable resource for boxing enthusiasts worldwide. By stripping away spoken instruction and focusing on the raw mechanics of the combinations, these sequences are designed to be a universal language. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced boxer, these archives stand as a testament to the discipline of the craft—a library of inspiration that remains accessible to anyone with a passion for boxing.
