Combos Of The Week: Week 25 | Virtual Padwork | Online Boxing Series

Welcome to the twenty-fifth instalment of Combos Of The Week. This series is a complete recap of the Virtual Padwork library I built in 2023.

If you are looking for a structured way to learn about online boxing, this series will serve as a reference guide. Instead of hunting through a social media feed, you can find the technical sequences right here, grouped by week, to study in your own time.

Combo 169: Slip 6 Body 2

Stance: Southpaw

This sequence focuses on generating power from a defensive slip. By slipping left, you load the rear side for a heavy uppercut, immediately followed by a low lead hook to the body and a straight finishing cross.

Combo Sequence:

  • Slip Left

  • Left Uppercut

  • Roll Left (Low Right Hook)

  • Cross

Combo 170: The Alexis

Stance: Orthodox

Inspired by the precision of Alexis Argüello. This drill emphasizes the "Head Control" post. After slipping a 1-2, you use your lead hand to measure and hold the opponent's head in place, ensuring the following straight cross lands with maximum accuracy.

  • Slip Right

  • Head Control

  • Cross

Combo 171: 12 Block 323 Block 3

Stance: Southpaw

  • Right Hook

  • Cross

Combo 172: The Ezzard

  • Step Back

  • Jab

  • Slip (and Cross)

  • Left Hook

Combo 173: Catch 1 Step 2 Roll 25

Stance: Southpaw

This drill focuses on the "step and counter." You catch a jab, fire your own, and step back to pull the opponent forward. Once they step, you counter with a cross, roll to safety, and come back with a cross-uppercut combination.

  • Step Back

  • Cross

  • Roll Left

  • Cross

Combo 174: 12 Block 3 Body 32

  • Left Block

  • Left Hook

  • Low Right Hook

  • Left Hook

  • Cross

Combo 175: 1 Step 2 Step 12 Roll
