Combos Of The Week: Week 43 Virtual Padwork Online Boxing Series

Welcome to the forty-third instalment of Combos Of The Week. This series is a complete recap of the Virtual Padwork library I built in 2023.

If you are looking for a structured way to learn about online boxing, this series will serve as a reference guide. Instead of hunting through a social media feed, you can find the technical sequences right here, grouped by week, to study in your own time.

Combo 295: Block 32 Roll 22

Stance: Southpaw

This sequence focuses on rear-hand power and recovery. After blocking and countering with a 3-2, the southpaw rolls to the power side to reload the hips for a final, heavy double-cross.

Combo Sequence:

  • Right Block

  • Right Hook

  • Cross

  • Roll Left

  • Cross

  • Cross

Combo 296: Block Roll Step 23 Roll 3

Stance: Orthodox

A masterclass in "creating space." After absorbing a shot and rolling, you take a tactical step back to reset the range for a clean 2-3. The final roll-hook teaches you to change the angle while staying offensive on the lead side.

Combo Sequence:

  • Right Block

  • Roll Left

  • Step Back

  • Cross

  • Left Hook

  • Roll Left

  • Left Hook

Combo 297: 32 Roll Roll Loop

By repeating the 3-2 (Right Hook, Cross) and following it with double rolls, you build the core strength and muscle memory needed to keep your head moving throughout an entire round.

Combo Sequence:

  • Right Hook

  • Cross

  • Roll Left

  • Roll Right

  • (Repeat Loop 3x)

Combo 298: The Walcott

Stance: Orthodox

Inspired by Jersey Joe Walcott’s legendary footwork and "shuffle." This sequence uses lateral steps and a slip to confuse the opponent's timing before uncorking a deceptive and powerful rear hook from an unexpected angle.

Combo Sequence:

  • Step Right

  • Step Left

  • Slip Right

  • Right Hook

Combo 299: Step 2112 Step 23

Stance: Southpaw

You use the step back to draw the opponent onto a cross-double jab entry. After a second step back, you finish them with a classic cross-hook counter.

Combo 300: 143 Slip Slip 234 Slip Slip

Stance: Orthodox

This drill emphasizes "Symmetric Counters." It alternates between a lead-side focus and a rear-side focus. The double slips in between each flurry ensure that you are defensively reset before launching the next set of hooks.

Combo Sequence:

  • Jab
